Product description

Genesis LED G1 Series horns and LED strobes feature a sleek low profile design and energy-efficient technology that makes them less expensive to install and operate by reducing overhead. High performance LEDs require fewer circuits and power supplies. These new appliances are designed with energy-efficiency and life safety in mind. Genesis LED G1 Series uses high efficiency optics, combined with patented electronics, to deliver a highly controlled and efficiently focused light distribution pattern in exchange for lower current requirements. Strobes feature field-selectable 15, 30, or 75 cd light output.

Operating Voltage: Range: 16–33 VDC (non-coded, filtered DC or unfiltered FWR) Suitable for continuous operation within this range. Current Consumption: Strobe: 15 cd: 60 mA RMS (max) 30 cd: 80 mA RMS (max) 75 cd: 150 mA RMS (max) Horn: High dB: 20 mA RMS (max) at 16–33 VDC Low dB: 15 mA RMS (max) at 16–33 VDC Values vary depending on field-configurable settings. Strobe Output: Field-Selectable Candela Settings: 15 cd, 30 cd, or 75 cd (per UL 1971) Flash Rate: 1 flash per second (1 Hz) Technology: Genesis LED FullLight™ for smooth, efficient light distribution Synchronization: Synchronizes to within 10 ms indefinitely with compatible sources (e.g., EG1M-RM, EBPS6A, EBPS10A, or FX Series Panels) Horn Output: Sound Level: Field-configurable high (up to 91 dBA at 10 ft) or low (up to 86 dBA at 10 ft) Pattern: Temporal 3-3 (standard fire alarm pattern: ½ sec ON, ½ sec OFF, repeated) or continuous (private mode or coded NAC) Frequency: Approximately 3.2 kHz Construction: Housing: Textured, UV-stabilized, color-impregnated engineered plastic (exceeds UL 94V-0 flammability rating) Lens: Optical-grade polycarbonate (clear) Color: Red with “FIRE” marking (G1AVRF); also available in white (G1AVWF) Mounting: Compatibility: North American 4-inch square box, 2⅛-inch (54 mm) deep (indoor wall applications only) Trim Ring: Optional G1TR (red) or G1TW (white) for surface or semi-flush mounting Wiring: Terminal Block: Screw terminals accepting #18 to #12 AWG (0.75 mm² to 2.5 mm²) Connection: Single input for both horn and strobe Environmental Specifications: Operating Temperature: 32°F to 120°F (0°C to 49°C) Humidity: 0 to 93% RH, non-condensing Indoor Use Only Certifications: Listings: UL 1971 (Visual Signaling), UL 1638, UL 464 (Audible Signaling), ULC-S526, ULC-S541 Compliance: Meets ADA Code of Federal Regulation Chapter 28 Part 36, NFPA 72 synchronization requirements Physical Characteristics: Dimensions: Approximately 4.5″ H x 2.9″ W x 1.4″ D (114 mm x 74 mm x 36 mm) Weight: Around 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg) Additional Features: Diagnostics: Under-cover test points for easy circuit testing while mounted Compatibility: Backward compatible with legacy Xenon strobes; can be mixed on the same NAC circuit Energy Efficiency: LED technology reduces power supply and wiring demands compared to Xenon strobes
